Can my dog eat sago palm?

No.

Sago palm (cycas), a common garden and pot plant, causes liver failure in dogs. The seeds are the most poisonous part and even one can be serious.

Already ate it?

If they ate itGo to a vet now, even if your dog seems fine, and take a piece or a photo of the plant. Don't make them vomit unless a vet tells you to.
Watch forVomiting (sometimes bloody), diarrhoea and drooling within hours; wobbliness or seizures; yellow gums, bruising and liver failure two to three days later.

Thinking of giving it?

WhyEvery part contains cycasin, which destroys the liver. Even with fast, aggressive treatment only about half of poisoned dogs survive. It is not the same plant as sabudana (sago pearls), which is a food.
