Can my dog eat chinaberry?بکائن

No.

The yellow berries of the bakain (dharek) tree are poisonous to dogs, and dogs seem to be especially sensitive to them. Fallen berries are the risk.

Already ate it?

If they ate itGo to a vet now and take a berry or a twig with you — early treatment is what helps. Don't make them vomit unless a vet tells you to.
Watch forDrooling, vomiting and diarrhoea first, then weakness, wobbliness, tremors or seizures — within a few hours.

Thinking of giving it?

WhyThe ripe berries carry meliatoxins, which attack the gut and then the nervous system. In a reported case, two young dogs that ate fallen fruit both died within 36 hours despite emergency treatment.
