Can my dog eat ivermectin?

No.

Unless your vet prescribed this exact medicine for this dog at their dose. Livestock ivermectin from an animal-feed shop is many times too strong, and some breeds react to tiny amounts.

Already ate it?

If they ate itCall a vet now with the product, its strength and your dog's weight and breed. Don't make them vomit unless a vet tells you to.
Watch forDilated pupils, wobbliness, drooling, tremors, sudden blindness, then drowsiness or coma — within 4–12 hours, sometimes later.

Thinking of giving it?

Why not even a littleDogs with the MDR1 gene fault have been poisoned from about 0.08 mg per kg; other dogs from about 1–2.5 mg per kg. A 1% cattle injection holds 10 mg in every ml, so a few drops can be too much for a small dog.
WhyIvermectin crosses into the brain in overdose, and in dogs with the MDR1 gene fault (collies, Australian shepherds, shelties and their crosses) it gets there even at low doses. There is no antidote, only supportive care.
