Can my dog eat hand sanitiser?

No.

Hand sanitiser, perfume and body spray are mostly alcohol. A lick off your hand is nothing; a chewed bottle or a mouthful of gel is an emergency.

Already ate it?

If they ate itA lick: nothing to do. If they chewed a bottle or swallowed a mouthful or more, go to a vet now — signs start within 30 to 60 minutes. Don't make them vomit unless a vet tells you to.
Watch forWobbliness, vomiting, drowsiness, a cold body, slow breathing or collapse — usually within 30 to 60 minutes.

Thinking of giving it?

Why not even a littleIsopropyl alcohol from about 0.5 mL per kg of body weight can cause serious signs in dogs, and ethanol at roughly double that. Small licks of dried or rubbed-in sanitiser are not expected to cause harm.
WhyAlcohol is absorbed fast and depresses the brain, blood sugar, body temperature and breathing. Isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol, used in many sanitisers and surgical spirit, is about twice as toxic as the ethanol in others.

Where this comes from. Merck Veterinary Manual: Toxicoses From Alcohols in Animals; Pet Poison Helpline: Hand Sanitizer (Ethanol).
