Can my dog eat diabetes tablets?

No.

Some diabetes tablets (Daonil, Diamicron, Amaryl) can crash a dog's blood sugar for a day or more. Metformin mostly causes vomiting, and swallowed insulin is broken down in the gut.

Already ate it?

If they ate itGo to a vet now with the packet. If they're wobbly on the way, rub a little honey or syrup on their gums — don't pour it into their mouth.
Watch forWobbliness, weakness, disorientation, seizures — within hours, and some tablets keep acting for a day or more.

Thinking of giving it?

WhyThese sulfonylureas push insulin out of the pancreas, and the sugar crash can last a day or more. Vets do use insulin for diabetic dogs — only at the dose your vet set for this dog.
