Can my dog eat thermometer?

No.

A chewed thermometer needs a vet call. Digital ones hide a button battery that can burn the gut, and old glass ones break into sharp shards; the mercury itself is rarely the problem.

Already ate it?

If they ate itCheck what's missing. If the battery is gone, go to a vet now — treat it as a swallowed battery. If glass broke, call a vet today and don't make them vomit. Keep children and pets out of the room, open the windows, and pick up mercury beads with card and tape — never a broom or vacuum.
Watch forDrooling, gagging, blood in the mouth or stool, vomiting, refusing food or a painful belly — over the next hours to days.

Thinking of giving it?

WhyA swallowed button battery can burn through the food pipe within hours, and glass splinters can cut or block the gut. Swallowed mercury from a thermometer is poorly absorbed, so the glass is the bigger risk.
