Can my dog eat batteries?

No.

A swallowed or chewed battery is an emergency. Button batteries can burn through the food pipe within hours, and chewed AA or remote batteries leak a caustic that burns the mouth.

Already ate it?

If they ate itIf it was swallowed whole, go to a vet now — it needs an X-ray and often removal. If they bit one open, gently flush the mouth with lukewarm water for 15–20 minutes, then go. Don't make them vomit — it burns the food pipe again.
Watch forDrooling, pawing at the mouth, mouth sores (can take up to 12 hours to show), gagging, refusing food, vomiting, black stools or a sore belly.

Thinking of giving it?

WhyA button battery stuck in the food pipe passes current that makes caustic alkali in the tissue, and serious burns can start within 15–30 minutes, worst with lithium coin cells. Chewed AA and AAA cells leak potassium or sodium hydroxide, which burns on contact.
