Can my dog eat onion?پیاز

No.

Onion and garlic are toxic to dogs in every form — raw, cooked, fried, powdered — and most Pakistani cooking is built on both.

Already ate it?

If they ate itCall your vet with your dog's weight and roughly how much. Don't make them vomit unless a vet tells you to. Signs are often delayed by days.
Watch forWeakness, pale gums, fast breathing, dark urine — often 3–5 days later.

Thinking of giving it?

Why not even a littleMerck reports poisoning from 15–30 g of raw onion per kg of body weight, but ASPCA case records show it above about 5 g per kg (0.5% of body weight), so we use 5. A medium onion is about 100–150 g.
WhyThey damage red blood cells and cause anaemia. Cooking, frying and powdering don't make them safe, and small amounts fed day after day can add up.
