Can my dog eat skewer?سیخ

No.

A swallowed skewer or toothpick can pierce the throat, stomach or bowel. BBQ sticks soaked in meat juice are exactly what dogs grab at Eid.

Already ate it?

If they ate itCall your vet straight away and say what length was swallowed. Don't make them vomit unless a vet tells you to. Don't pull on a stick you can see in the mouth or throat.
Watch forGagging, drooling, pawing at the mouth, vomiting, a painful belly, refusing food or fever — within hours, or a swelling on the body weeks later.

Thinking of giving it?

WhyWooden and bamboo sticks don't digest, and their sharp ends can puncture the gut and travel through the body, sometimes surfacing weeks later as an abscess. They often don't show on a normal X-ray.
