Can my dog eat rajma?راجماش

A little.

Only fully boiled, plain beans, a few at a time. Raw or undercooked rajma is a no — it contains a natural toxin that causes severe vomiting.

Thinking of giving it?

How much is fineA spoonful of well-boiled, unseasoned beans, occasionally. Never dried or soaked-but-uncooked beans.
WhyRaw kidney beans contain a lectin (phytohaemagglutinin) that only proper boiling destroys; slow, low-heat cooking can leave it active. Rajma masala adds onion, garlic and chilli. Tinned baked beans carry salt and sugar.

Already ate it?

If they ate itIf they ate raw or half-cooked beans, call your vet — vomiting can be severe. A mouthful of cooked rajma masala is a watch-at-home; a plateful, call your vet.
Watch forVomiting and diarrhoea within one to three hours after raw beans. Gas and loose stool after cooked ones.
